GeoSymposium Coordinator

Ivet Escamilla served as the coordinator for the UNLV GeoSymposium 2026. The three-day event, which included student oral and poster presentations, keynote presentations, a career panel, and a field trip, had nearly 200 attendees and brought together students, industry professionals, government officials, academic experts, and members of the community. GeoSymposium is entirely organized by students in the Department of Geoscience and was successfully led by Ivet this year. Outstandingly done!
